You create a long, vine-like whip covered in thorns that lashes out at your command toward a creature in range. Make a melee spell attack against the target. If the attack hits, the creature takes 1d6 piercing damage, and if the creature is Large or smaller, you pull the creature up to 10 feet closer to you.
At higher level
This spell’s damage increases by 1d6 when you reach 5th level (2d6), 11th level (3d6), and 17th level (4d6).
Is Thorn Whip Magical Dmg Full
Whether a creature is a friend or an enemy, you can’t willingly end your move in its space. So I don't see any problem using thorn whip to pull the enemy into your square and then moving into an adjacent square so that you don't end your action in the same square. I gathered this information from both my first full playthrough and the database files within the game folder itself. They can be opened with a normal text editor for viewing. 3 Bone Whip - A Medium-sized whip assembled from razor-sharp vertebrae. 6 Thorn Whip - A Long leather whip with embedded wooden thorns. 10 Morningstar - A Heavy spiked ball attached to the end of a chain whip. 16 Cat Tail Whip - A Whip with multiple strands bound to a common core. 20 Polearms Spear - Wooden pole with a small, sharp blade. $ begingroup $ In Thorn Whip you create a long, vine-like whip covered in thorns that lashes out at your command toward a creature in range. A whip is a weapon. Lashing a whip is how one attack with such a weapon. It's only a very small logic leap to say the spell creates a weapon that attacks the target.
